We use our homes today very differently than people did 100 years ago. When our client purchased this investment home in 2021 it was in a dilapidated state. The kitchen was dingy and outdated. The home had a non-functioning heating system and no cooling. The windows were single-paned and there was only one bathroom located on the second floor. MRVN was engaged to design a full renovation of the home. We reworked the kitchen to create a bright, light filled space with modern amenities and improved connection to the backyard. An existing undersized first floor sunroom was reconfigured to create a new first floor powder room and a comfortable home office. The existing second floor bathroom was renovated and modernized, and a new Primary Bathroom and custom Walk-in-Closet were added off the existing Primary Bedroom. Finally, the walkup attic was reworked to create a proper fourth bedroom. The home received new windows and a high efficiency cooling system. The result of all this: an old home can have a new life, an investor can get a great return, and a new family can become a part of a great community. Not too bad at all.
